I don’t usually worry about what others think, but a genuine compliment still lifts my spirits. I used to check social media ‘likes’ and second-guess my posts, but I prayed about this need to please and learned to let it go. Lately, I’ve been challenging myself to share more about my faith, as a way to inspire friends and family to draw closer to God and to get connected with church community. That, more than likes or validation, fills my cup these days. I’ve noticed it also naturally weeds out people who don’t align with my values. My posts about a church event or with a religious song may not get many likes, but I pray they plant a seed in someone’s heart. Sharing this way has shown me the reality that most of my friends don’t share my faith, but maybe I’m meant to be a light for them, pointing them toward Jesus. God, let me be their light in a dark world. Keep shinning your love through me, Lord. - Angie
Do you take time to notice and compliment the women around you? Challenge yourself to find something beautiful in every woman you meet. In a world that can feel so shallow, even a small compliment can brighten someone’s day. Even just a word of encouragement about their parenting or their children. With so many societal pressures, it’s easy to doubt yourself.
When you reflect on your own life, do you feel confident that you’re living authentically? Do you find yourself seeking validation or needing compliments? Do you feel unseen? Take a moment to reflect and pray and ask God to help you show kindness to yourself and to others, and to embrace His truth about who you are in Him. Know that you wonderfully complex, a true masterpiece by the almighty God, and you are made in His image.
