Do you yield to authority, or does it make you feel threatened, controlled, or resentful? Can you discern between respectable leaders and those who are not? Submit to God, and also to those who hold healthy, legitimate, and honorable leadership.

Consider leaders in your workplace, government, church, marriage, and the authority parents have over their children. Strive to mirror Jesus by showing humility, it doesn’t make you inferior. Navigate your life with wisdom and yield to God.

Are you aware of the difference between biblical submission and worldly submission? True submission to the Lord is where you are protected, guided, and blessed.

REFLECTION

PERSONAL REFLECTION

I typically respect the leaders around me, but I’ll admit, it becomes much more challenging when someone disrespects or belittles me. Lately, I’ve seen myself growing in grace, even through some significant challenges. I found true peace when I fully submitted to God and focused on reflecting Jesus in how I responded. Experiencing that freedom was refreshing.

I trusted God completely to handle the situation, full trust in Him, and it brought me to a place of total surrender. You could call it full submission. My natural instinct was to feel offended and defensive, but I chose to react differently, with grace and trust in God.

Challenge yourself the next time you feel offended. Can you let it roll off and lift it to God in prayer? Approach the situation with His wisdom. Remember, you are perfectly made in His image and created with purpose. Reflect on Jesus’ humility on the cross, even though He held all authority. Submit to Him and trust Him to lead you.

The one who sent me is within me. He has not left me alone, because I always do what pleases him.
— John 8:29

“Jesus came to fulfill God’s plan of salvation. He was obedient and fully committed to God’s will. Like Him, we are called to do what is pleasing to God, to embrace His truth, and to allow it to guide us each day. God is continually present in our lives, leading and sustaining us.” - Angie

Jesus replied, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? As for you, follow me.
— John 21:22

“Each person’s path is unique, and each of us may be called to a different expression of commitment and obedience to Christ. Be encouraged to trust God with the plans He has for you. Focus on your walk with the Lord, avoid comparing yourself to others, and embrace the unique calling He has placed on your life.” - Angie
