Oh, the weight of my perfectionism. It’s something I’m constantly learning to face with grace. I try not to be too hard on myself, but I often feel the tension of not quite reaching all my goals each day. When those feelings rise up, I’ve learned to pause and give thanks, for everything, big and small. Gratitude grounds me. It reminds me that things don’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. I simply can’t do it all, and that’s okay.
I loved what Priscilla shared about focusing on the tasks God has placed before me. It reminded me that there’s value in how I do things, the way I mother, the way I love my husband, the way I work and create.
Lord, help me lean into what You’ve called me to in this season. Strengthen my confidence in what You’ve already equipped me to do through Your power and presence. Grow my faith as I follow Your lead. Fill every part of my life with Your light, and teach me to rest in You instead of striving for perfection. Help me to have more grace for myself. - Angie
Lord, help us not to save our best for later. Give us confidence and courage to embrace the roles and opportunities You’ve placed before us today.
Teach us to honor You in all we do, and to focus clearly on the purpose You have for our lives.
Being a parent, a spouse, a coworker, a daughter, a friend, a sister, these are all blessings, yet they come with their challenges. Help me to turn my focus back to You, and to recognize and embrace the gifts and talents You’ve given me for the roles I’m living in right now.
